The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) automatically lowers your childcare fees each month. No application is needed—all families benefit.

The Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) is an income-based subsidy. Families apply through the BC Government, and if approved, the benefit is sent directly to Cyrus Childcare to reduce your fees further.

Yes, we have a non-refundable Registration and Technolgy Fee of $250, which can be paid by e-transfer or cheque. 

 The easiest and most secure way to pay your childcare tuition is through the Lillio application. It allows quick, convenient, and trackable payments right from your phone.

We also accept other forms of payment if needed,please contact us to confirm available options.

Children should be in the process of learning to use the washroom, however, all young children have accidents from time to time. If your child is not yet trained just put them in pull-ups so that teachers can help out in the washroom if necessary. Please be sure to bring extra clothes each day so that teachers can change wet or soiled clothing when required.

We provide age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, to stimulate the minds of infants and toddlers, and to promote motor and social skill development. We use some Montessori toys, play kits, paints, play dough, glue, chalk, books, sensory tables with beans, rice, water, snow, dirt, noodles and more. Our infants and toddlers stay very busy throughout the day.

All teachers are qualified Early Childhood Educators and have years of experience in the care and education of young children. Teachers maintain first aid certificates and are committed to providing positive childcare experiences. All staff, including substitutes, student teachers and volunteers are screened upon application and undergo a Criminal Record Check.

Yes. Cyrus's curriculum planning provides all the key elements for a child's successful transition to kindergarten. Problem-solving and mathematical skills, language and vocabulary development, critical thinking, reading readiness, and gross and fine motor development are all a part of everyday learning. Most importantly children will have developed self, confidence and the social and emotional tools required for the next stage of their learning.

Normal hours are from 7:30 am-5:30 pm* Monday through Friday.  

In order to protect your child, we require that you provide the names of any individual who has permission to pick up your child. We require advance notice from you when someone other than a family member will be picking up your child and will check your identification. If we have any questions or concerns, we ask that you are available via cell phone to provide confirmation.

Your child’s safety and your peace of mind are of the utmost concern at Cyrus  Child Care Center. Our facility is fenced in around the entire playground. All visitors must register in our lobby to gain access to our facility.

Yes, we provide a series of morning and afternoon snacks as well as Hot lunches.
